Martin “Marty” Howard Cady, 75, of Hilo died Sept. 13 at home. Born in Gloversville, N.Y., he was a vice president of information technology systems for Hong Kong Shanghai Banking Corp., member of the Hawaii 50th Club in Tacoma, Wash., and a U.S. Army sergeant during the Vietnam War. Earl Stanley Costa, 84, of Vacaville, Calif., died Sept. 13 at home. He was a retired insurance adjuster for Allstate, auto mechanic who worked at Nelson’s Chevrolet, service manager at the former Hilo Motors, custodian for the Tribune-Herald, Hilo High School class of 1951 alumnus and U.S. Marine Corps veteran.
