Irene Marjorie Puaokalani Abrojena, 77, of Kealakekua died Aug. 31 at Kona Community Hospital. Born in Hilo, she was a food waitress at the former Ho Fa Inn, Teshima’s Restaurant and the former Kona Surf Resort. Visitation 8-11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 30, at Kahikolu Congregational Church in Napoopoo. Memorial service at 11 a.m. Casual attire. Martin “Marty” Howard Cady, 75, of Hilo died Sept. 13 at home. Born in Gloversville, N.Y., he was a vice president of information technology systems for Hong Kong Shanghai Banking Corp., member of the Hawaii 50th Club in Tacoma, Wash., and a U.S. Army sergeant during the Vietnam War. Earl Stanley Costa, 84, of Vacaville, Calif., died Sept. 13 at home. He was a retired insurance adjuster for Allstate, auto mechanic who worked at Nelson’s Chevrolet, service manager at the former Hilo Motors, custodian for the Tribune-Herald, Hilo High School class of 1951 alumnus and U.S. Marine Corps veteran. Visitation 5-8 p.m. Monday (Sept. 25) at McCune Garden Chapel in Vacaville. Service 11:30 a.m. Tuesday (Sept. 26) at Crossroads Christian Church in Vacaville.
